Marko Papic translates geopolitical and macroeconomic trends into actionable investment implications through a framework he calls GeoMacro.
Marko leads the firm’s premier client offering, BCA Access, serving as a strategic advisor and focal point for investors seeking customized research and access to BCA’s global network of experts. He also leads the firm’s GeoMacro Platform, helping clients navigate geopolitical risks, macro dislocations, and thematic investment opportunities.
Marko originally founded BCA Research’s Geopolitical Strategy practice in 2012, creating one of the financial industry’s first dedicated geopolitical investment research desks. Prior to rejoining BCA in 2024, he was Partner and Chief Strategist at Clocktower Group, where he advised some of the world’s largest institutional investors, helped seed global macro hedge funds, and launched a green technology investment initiative. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Analyst at Stratfor, a global intelligence firm.
Marko is the author of Geopolitical Alpha, one of Bloomberg’s Top Books of 2020 that elucidates a framework for incorporating geopolitics into asset allocation. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, he has lived across Europe, the Middle East, and North America, bringing a distinctly global perspective to his analysis.
